The core analysis workbench — KPIs, P&L decomposition, forecasts, insights, product cost, and canvas reports, all in one dynamic tab system.
FP&A Analysis & Reporting is the core analysis workbench in Numen Plan. It's a Canvas — the surface where the AI's results land, and where you review, verify, and edit them — with the shared AI chat at the center of the workspace. Two tabs come built in, KPI Comprehensive and KPI Report, and you add new tabs to compose any view you need — P&L decomposition, forecasts, product costing, and more — without leaving the agent.
What you can do
- Track 25 KPIs across profitability, stability, and efficiency on one dashboard.
- Decompose your P&L — revenue, cost structure, contribution margin, and cash flow — to see what drives the result.
- Generate an AI revenue forecast and compare it against scenarios side by side.
- Read Insights — the anomalies Numen surfaces alongside your own analysis memos, all in one place.
- Explore Cost by Product — a product cost tree, contribution profit, cost trends, and scenario sensitivity.
- Finish a report in the KPI Report tab and share it with an external share link, or add a new tab to arrange your own analysis with inserted widgets.
The tab system

Composing with blocks — like a document
In a new tab or the KPI Report tab, the canvas behaves like a block document — if you have used Notion, it will feel familiar. You stack blocks, mixing written notes with live data:
- Headings and paragraphs for structure and notes
- Bullet and numbered lists
- Dividers and callouts to highlight things
- Editable tables you fill in yourself
- Widgets — live, data-driven blocks that refresh from your data
Tip
Type / on an empty line to open the block menu. Widget — insert from the Numen widget library — sits at the top under *Suggested*, followed by the basic blocks: text, headings 1–3, bulleted list, and more. Move with ↑↓, select with Enter, close with Esc.
How to build an analysis view
- 1Open FP&A Analysis and confirm the data period, version, and entity at the top — every widget respects this context.
- 2Start on KPI Comprehensive to get a feel for the period — 25 KPIs across profitability, stability, and efficiency on one screen.
- 3Add a new tab and insert widgets to build the view you need — P&L Summary, Revenue Trend, Contribution Margin, KPI Dashboard, AI Forecast, and more.
- 4Use the AI chat at the center of the workspace to ask questions about the current canvas, or to add inline commentary to a widget.
- 5When the view is ready, finish it as a report in the KPI Report tab and share it with an external share link.
Related canvas layouts
- CFO War Room — an executive daily brief with an AI briefing, urgent actions, and hero KPIs at the top.
- Entity / Site analysis — a multi-entity P&L with FX impact, for comparing companies or sites.
Tip
Each widget can carry its own AI inline commentary — a short, rule-based explanation of what the chart shows. Turn it on to make a report read like a briefing, not just a set of numbers.
