File Manager

Your drive inside Numen — store external files, ask the chat about them, and register them as widget data.

The File Manager is Numen's built-in drive. Your onboarding data (trial balance, GL, financial statements) flows in on its own — the File Manager is for everything else: meeting notes, CRM sales exports, external variables like FX rates, or any working file your team needs next to the numbers. Use it like Google Drive — create folders, upload, search, and share.

Three tabs

TabWhat lives there
My filesFiles and folders you uploaded and organized yourself.
Shared with meFiles teammates shared with you.
Widget dataData series registered from files — each with a data key, period range, and a "used in N widgets" tag.

Upload and organize

  • + New creates a folder or uploads files — organize by project, month, or team.
  • Search finds a file by name across everything you've stored.
  • Each file's menu offers Rename, Share, Register as widget data, and Delete; download is one click away.

Ask the chat about a file

Press + in the chat input and choose Open File Manager. Pick a file — the latest CRM export, this week's meeting notes — and ask about it directly: the chat reads the file and answers with your other data as context. No re-uploading something you already stored.

Register as widget data

Choose Register as widget data on a file and its series become managed data — each with a data key, a period range, and a unit. From there they can feed custom widgets, sitting right next to your internal financials.

Tip
Register external variables — FX rates, market indices — as widget data once, and every custom widget that needs them reads the same series.
