Purchase / Inventory / AP
Purchase orders through payables, with a moving-average material ledger and AI that queues suggested entries.
The Purchase agent runs the spending side of your business. It follows a purchase from request and PO, through goods receipt, to the payable you settle later — and keeps your material inventory valued at moving-average cost as stock moves.

What you can do
- Raise a purchase request and PO.
- Record goods receipt when materials arrive.
- Maintain a supplier master.
- Track payables / AP ledger and schedule payments.
- Review purchase price history to spot cost changes.
- Keep a material inventory ledger valued at moving-average cost.
- Read the purchase ledger — a running record of every purchase.
- Use the AI-assisted entry queue to turn purchase documents into suggested journal entries.
How to record a purchase
- 1Raise a purchase request, approve it, and issue a PO to a supplier from the supplier master.
- 2When materials arrive, record goods receipt against the PO. The material ledger increases and recalculates the moving-average cost.
- 3On the supplier invoice, approve the AI-suggested entry. The purchase posts and opens as a payable.
- 4Schedule and record payment to settle the payable.
Moving-average inventory
Every goods receipt updates the moving-average unit cost of that material: the new cost blends what you already held with what just arrived. This is the value Production draws on when it consumes materials, so accurate receipts here are what keep your product costs honest.
Note
Post goods receipt the moment stock physically arrives, not when the invoice comes. Receipt timing drives the moving-average cost; the payable can be booked separately when the invoice lands.
